Cognition Kickstarter

Ken Reynolds, the Assistant Editor of 100% Biodegradable, has just launched his own Kickstarter for Cognition - a supernatural noir adventure about a steam powered automaton inhabited by a human spirit and a demonically possessed mouse (illustrated by Sam Bentley, whose artwork appeared in the 250th issue of Spawn).

Some of the higher level rewards allow backers to acquire Ken's mighty fine comic lettering services for cheap.  Since the bulk of 100% Biodegradable strips have been lettered by Ken, his services come highly recommended.

Who's up for some top notch swashbuckling supernatural simian shenanigans?

Jimmy Furlong and Andrew Hartmann (creators of 'Moby Douche' which is currently running in 100% Biodegradable) have just launched their new 'Shit Flingers: Bestiary' on Kickstarter, and in less that 24 hours it's already 50% funded.

The first issue contains five strips, by the likes of Pete McQue, Renzo Rodriguez, Jeff Aden, Daniel Bell, Stay Broke and more (including 100% Biodegradable's David Hailwood and Tony Suleri), and can be yours in print for just £6!

Also, anyone who pledges £5 or more will be rewarded with PDF's for all 11 issues of 100% Biodegradable (that's the entire run to date).

Men At Work

A lot of 100% Biodegradable creators have been very active of late, so I thought I'd take a moment to draw attention to some of their projects.

On Kickstarter, Paul H. Birch and Steve Tanner have put together a rather spectacular 'Bomb Scares' horror anthology.  It reached its target within the first two days (little surprise, with such a vast range of artistic talent inside), but there's still time to grab it at discount price by pledging your support.

As well as containing strips from 100% Biodegradable's Mats Engesten, David Hailwood, Jim Alexander and Gary Crutchley, there's a gorgeous cover by 2000ad's Richard Elson and Dave Kendall, and plenty of other quality material inside.

 Chris Redfern, who wrote Happier Times for issue 7 of 100% Biodegradable, has recently released a sci-fi Kindle book titled 'Colt 45' which is available for just £1.99
