Issue 5 preview - The Golem Rises

Coming to the July edition of 100% Biodegradable - The Golem Rises by Mister Roberts and Simon Mackie (which is my all time favourite Simon Mackie strip, and I'm glad to have it in the anthology).

Simon has also provided a moody Golem Rises cover for the digital anthology, which will be out mid July on Drivethru and Comicsy.

Issue 3 recently became available on Comixology, with Issue 4 to follow soon.

Issue 5 Preview - First Impressions

Appearing in the next issue of 100% Biodegradable (due out mid-july) is the rather striking and highly amusing 'First Impressions' by Graeme Neil Reid.

Graeme is a Scottish artist living and working in Fife.  He has had work published in 2000ad, Judge Dredd The Megazine, Meanwhile (where this strip first came to my attention), and various other comics.  He has also illustrated for TV, books, gaming and magazines.

You can see more of his eye catching artwork on his blog here:

Temple Issue 16 out now!

Featuring a great B-Movie inspired cover from Ben Peter Johnson, the latest issue of the Temple Comic Showcase is available to download now.

The comic contains contributions from various Biodegradable regulars, such as Simon Mackie, Tony Suleri and Dave Hailwood, and is completely free (as are all the previous issues) and available from the following link:

http://www.comicsy.co.uk/templeapa/store/products/temple-apa-issue-16/

It's a great place for people who're looking to break into comics and want to get some of their strips out to an audience (some of the issues have been viewed by over a quarter of a million people!), so if you're interested in contributing to the next issue, pop along to the blog and follow the guidelines at the top:  http://templeapa.blogspot.co.uk/

The next deadline is 8th August, so get stuck in!

Biodegradable on Speech Balloons

Paul H.Birch, who wrote the rather marvelous Martian Affair strip for Issue 4 of 100% Biodegradable, has been kind enough to plug the comic on Birmingham's Speech Balloon's blog.  You can read his plug here:   http://blogs.birminghammail.co.uk/speechballoon/2014/06/100-biodegradable-4.html

There'll be plenty more from Paul in upcoming issues, including 'I Married A Creature From Outer Space!' (illustrated by Mats Engesten) which will be appearing in Issue 5 (out mid-July).
